When is Bike to Work Day?
National Bike to Work Week is May 17 - 21, 2021, and the week closes out, celebrating Bike to Work/Wherever on Friday, May 21, 2021. Some organizations choose a different day that week that works best for their residents or employees. Bike to Wherever Day came to be as bike commuters and businesses had to pivot activities during COVID-19.
Why bike to work?
As our population and congestion increase, finding alternative ways to get to work is critical for our region. In the Houston-Galveston region, 25 percent of people live within 5 miles of their workplaces, an ideal distance for bicycling.
By bicycling to work, you will benefit from better health! Adults who regularly bicycle have a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and obesity.
Commuting to work represents a small percentage of all trips that we take. Bike Month is an excellent opportunity to explore biking to other destinations like coffee shops, restaurants, libraries, schools and visiting your friends and family members. Why not bike there? It's easier than you think. You can even bike part of the way, for instance, to your local transit station or park and ride.
How many people bike to work?
According to the American Community Survey, over 51,000 residents in the Houston-Galveston region bicycle or walk to work. In certain areas within our region, the percentage of people who bike to work exceeds 5% (while our regional average is 0.6%). Visit our Interactive Web Applications to find information about your neighborhood (recommended apps to check out – Historical Commuting Patterns, Activity-Connectivity Explorer, and the Demographic Data Explorer).

ROASTED LEG OF LAMB <== Click here for recipe!
ROASTED LEG OF LAMB Deborah Mayfield
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 (5 to 6 pound) trimmed bone-in leg of lamb (can use shoulder)
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon of Rosemary
- 1 tablespoon of Thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons of Kosher salt
- 2 tsp. Black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Prepare lamb the night before:
- Pat lamb dry with paper towels. Using a sharp knife, score the lamb by making shallow cuts all over.
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper. Rub on the lamb all over.
- Place the lamb in a large size zip lock or plastic bag, and let it sit over night until ready to cook. (keep the lamb cold at all times!)
Cooking the lamb for the Seder meal:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil. If you do not have a rack to place the lamb on, you can make a rack with aluminum foil (look on google)
- Place lamb, fat side up, on a rack in the prepared roasting pan.
- Place into oven and roast for medium, about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours, or until desired doneness. The lamb will take on a nice dark brown roasted color. Check the lamb periodically and you can spoon the drippings on top to keep it from drying out. To make sure it stays moist, you can make a heat tent with a sheet of aluminum foil and remove it after about an hour. Do not wrap the lamb with the foil!
- Let rest 15 minutes before slicing. Lamb spoils fast! So please be mindful of standing and storage time. It freezes very well. For more information, see google.
Shalom. Sister Deb
The majority of Seder meal items are available at Kroger, Central Market, and then HEB. Whole Foods carries the same but is higher in cost. Sprout usually has the veggies.
- Grape Juice: Purchase the Kedem Grape Juice made with fresh Concord Grapes. (Amazon has this as well.)
- Bitter Herbs: Parsley, Horseradish, Romain Lettuce or (Collard Greens) – you should not purchase your herbs too early. I try to get mine no more than a day or two in advance.
- Spring Lamb: I prefer Spring Lamb. The meat is sweeter and is of a young lamb and are usually plentiful this time of year. You have to get them early. They sell fast! I get mine from Phoenicia. Be careful of purchasing mutton, domestic sheep, has a bitter taste, have to cook it special. You can purchase a lamb shoulder.

Our bylaws require we nominate someone to fill the vacated Director Position 4. (formerly occupied by Simon) for the rest of his term. As much as all of us wish we didn’t have to do this, unfortunately we must. So, please nominate 4 individuals you think are qualified to fulfill the remainder of Simon’s unexpired position according to Director Qualifications. Please note, these individuals must not be personally related to me and all nominations much reach me by this Friday. I will speak with the 4 nominated individuals that have the highest number of nominations to find out if they would be willing to serve in this position if they won the vote. If you do not wish to be considered for this position, please let me know now. We will vote on the qualified and willing individuals during our Annual Meeting this Sunday via email. If none of the nominated individuals is willing to serve, the Board of Directors may choose to select someone to fill this position or choose to leave the Board with 4 members.
We will also vote on the expiring Director Position 5 (currently occupied by Alex Chan who is running again to serve in this position), if someone chooses to run against Alex. As with Position 4, all individuals must meet the Director Qualifications if they wish to run against Alex in Position 5. If Alex is running unopposed, there will be no vote.
We will also vote on the expiring Secretary Position (currently occupied by Grace Chan), if someone chooses to run against Grace (who is running again to serve in this position). As with Position 4 and Position 5, all individuals must fulfill the Sec-Treasurer Job Description if they wish to run against Grace. If Grace is running unopposed, there will be no vote.

We will be changing our format tomorrow for Regional service. We will not be holding the Speak Your Mind, Healing, and Real Talk classes tomorrow. They will take place on their next regularly scheduled time. Instead, we are asking families and smaller groups to get together among yourselves to pray for the members of the community, for universal members that have joined with our community in some capacity, and wisdom to discern God’s will for the upcoming session; along with your responsibility in regards to this session.
Our various family groups should also discuss the nature of this past week’s most recent events and its wake up call to us as a dress rehearsal for the end of the Birth Pains and Jacob’s Trouble. You will be discussing what you learned. What you need to do differently. What other preparations do you need to make to be ready for an extended period of time like this past week. If you are by yourself and have access to Zoom, you may log into our regular link and join with the Chan’s group as they discuss the same items.

Topic: Winter Weather Tips
General Hazardous Weather Conditions in the Area
We are always concerned about the well-being and safety of our members. With that being said, we are reaching out today to warn you of the potential winter weather conditions outside. The weather in and around the area is forecasted to become fairly dangerous over the weekend and into next week and we wanted to remind you to stay safe and tune into the local weather station to keep up-to-date on everything that's happening outside.
Winterize Your Home or Business
Pipes can freeze when the temperature drops below freezing, because they always have water in them. While most pipes are insulated against extreme cold, outdoor pipes and pipes in poorly heated parts of your home or business can get cold enough to freeze solid.
When pipes freeze, they sometimes burst. Although a burst pipe might not cause an issue as long as the temperature remains cold, it can leak a lot of water in a short amount of time once the temperature increases and ice thaws. The leaked water can cause all sorts of damage to both your home and its contents. To avoid having this happen, take a few steps to protect pipes during the coldest months of the year. Even with preparations, there is still a possibility that pipes could burst during storms and power failures. This is why it is important to plan for them and be prepared. When it becomes cold, you can prevent your pipes from freezing solid by:
- Leaving the heat on while you’re away
- Insulating your pipes that are most exposed to cold
- Storing hoses that are kept outside
- Letting water drip from faucets and opening cabinets below them to allow more heat from inside to warm the pipes
Check out this video on how to clear your sprinkler system lines to further prevent frozen and burst pipes.
Know how to spot a frozen pipe. If the faucet is turned on but water does not come out, this is a sign that the pipe is frozen. Call a plumber, and leave the faucet on. It may be possible to thaw a frozen pipe with a hair dryer. Start close to the faucet, and work toward the coldest section of the pipe. Avoid using any open flames or torches to defrost pipes.
If a pipe does burst, turn the water off at the main shutoff valve. Turn all of the faucets on, and call a plumber immediately. After calling the plumber, call your insurance agent. Adjusters will not need to come assess the spill itself, but they must know about it and assess the damages later. If possible, take photos of any spills or damages.
Move any electronic items, rugs, furniture or other belongings out of harm's way. Mop the water up immediately, and set a fan to help it dry. If any temporary repairs must be made to prevent further damage, make them and keep all receipts. Insurers may reimburse policyholders for temporary repairs. Wait until after the adjuster has assessed the damage to make any permanent or extensive repairs.
Winter Weather Driving Tips
When it comes to driving during winter weather, there are some safety tips you can follow to ensure you stay safe. From not stomping on your brakes to staying a few extra feet from those in front of you, these tips can help you from getting involved in an accident.
Driving on ice or snow can sometimes mean that you'll likely have to use the brakes more often than you do in normal driving weather. Unfortunately, when using your brakes in ice or snow, you'll end up skidding if you apply to much pressure; this is why it's so important to use your brakes gently. The gentler you use them, the less likely you are to skid.
Also when driving during the winter, please keep in mind that bridges will freeze over before roadways. Because of this, you need to remember that even if the roadways themselves seem okay to drive on when it's snowy or icy outside, the bridges most likely won't be. You'll need to slow down to make sure you don't have an accident.
Keeping your gas tanks full, an inflated spare tire, engine oil, coolant, an ice scraper, flashlights, extra gloves, and a blanket in your car may come in handy.
Have an emergency supply kit. You should have one for your home and car. It should have food and other provisions just in case you lose electricity or have to vacate your home during a winter storm.
Stay inside if you can and if you must go out, please be prepared!

Topic: Teacher/Leader Training Classes
For those of you that have finished DIT or will be finished by Mar 21, Teacher / Leader Training classes begin on Mar 21. The training will be done on a combined every 6-8 week seminar basis. If you have not completed the teacher training course in the past, you can enroll in both classes. But you cannot enroll in the Leader Training classes only. However, if you have completed the teacher training course in the past, you can enroll in both if you want. Or you can enroll in the Leader Training classes only.
The first half of the seminar is set aside for teacher training and will cover material from the 7 Laws of the Learner by Bruce Wilkinson and a few other things. The second half is set aside for leader training and will cover material from They Smell Like Sheep by Dr Lynn Anderson. In both cases, there will be assigned readings and homework needing to be completed prior to class. In both cases, there will be quizzes and tests. But unlike DIT, the grades are solely for your edification; as the concern is hands-on training and not grades. However, not doing your work or not attending classes will disqualify you from continued participation in the class for this cycle.
If interested in attending either or both of these classes, let me know. The last day to sign up for either class is Mar 8.

Topic: Amendment to By-Laws
Family
In light of the pandemic, we need to amend our by-laws to allow for our legal meetings that require voting to be held in person or via zoom. Right now, our by laws require we meet in person to have a legally binding vote. Our next annual meeting is on Feb 21, 2021, which will be held via zoom. We also need to amend our by-laws to allow for member voting to be done at these zoom meetings via personal email and still be considered valid.
If you are a legal member of WOCI, please send your yes or no response concerning these 2 issues via email to mail@woc-intl.org by 6 pm Feb 5, 2021. If you agree to amend the by-laws so that zoom meetings CAN be held in lieu of in-person meetings with proper notice and that we CAN have a legally binding vote at these zoom meetings by email; then say yes. If you wish that we retain our current system and require all legal votes be done in person, then say no.
You may send your answer via email to mail@woc-intl.org with your vote on these issues any time before 6 pm on Feb 5, 2021. Thank you in advance for your prompt response. Shalom!

Give this second tithe to a family or several families in need, a charity that feeds the indigent, or a food bank that you know feeds the hungry. Also, plan on having some type of food feast for your immediate family and/or people you have been regularly around in its place. Do not use your second tithe on the purchase of food for your family. Service will be VIRTUAL for New Moon 6. All mic’s will be muted to avoid feedback. Because you are taking Communion remotely again today (8/21/20) at New Moon 6 please make provision to have matzah and grape juice for your household and invited guests. If at all possible, no one should be alone; as you cannot administer communion to yourself. Find a relative or a church family member you feel comfortable with to partake of Communion.
The head of the household is responsible for administering communion to his or her family, relatives and invited guests. The same rules still apply to the administration of Communion to those in attendance. It should not be given to anyone under the age of accountability, unsure of their salvation or are actively predetermining to sin. But, I will say this during the service for spirituality sake.
Do not attempt to offer Communion at another time or on your own other than this New Moon 6 service. You do not have the anointing to do so. I will be guiding you through the steps, as if we were corporately meeting at one of the facilities. Shalom!

The Gold Care Group will now be from 40-54 and Platinum Care Group will now be from 55+. We are changing the launch date for the new Regional Groups. It will now be Sept 25. This gives us enough time to properly promote it, have all of our documents in place for the first couple of meetings and to work out the kinks we may have. Thank you for your understanding.
*New* Platinum Care Group

Platinum Group
My wife will be having our initial Platinum Universal Care Group Zoom meeting this Wed @ 7 pm. At this initial zoom meeting, we will discuss preparing for the online launch of this monthly universal care group on the Sept 4th Regional Shabbat. We will be discussing the creation of a flyer to be posted on the WOCI web site, newsletter and social media platforms to market this universal meeting to interested platinum individuals (those over the age of 50) by next week end.
We will also be discussing the general format and goals of this specific care group. Please be advised, this will not be a counseling care group or a gripe session. But ideas and suggestions are welcomed for possible team activities. As of right now, we are looking at having bible studies, important topical discussions regarding current events, retirement planning, issues concerning or affecting those of our age bracket, preparing for end times, etc. Our intent at this present moment is to have different individuals hosting various sessions and our plan is to attempt to reach interested parts of the universal believing population that are unreached or underserved.
If you are interested in attending this meeting or would like to present some ideas to be discussed at this meeting, please email my wife at deborahmayfield@woc-intl.org. Thank you.

New Moon Service 7/22/2020
Date: July 23, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Yesterday, we were hit with a full frontal satanic attack to keep the New Moon 5 message of the “False Narrative” from going forth. Our adversary did not want that message being preached or received because it causes the people of God to return to their Adonai and live holy in power. The attack started long before service, continued throughout the service and culminated at the conclusion of service. I want to encourage all of you that endured all of these hindrances to remember this: our God reigns regardless to what I see or feel. So, even though a quarter of my lesson disappeared 40 minutes before service (I had to retype it), the Responsive Scripture Readings were missing (they didn’t arrive until AFTER service for some reason), and our new camera that has been working fine up to now FROZE (forcing us to use a backup web cam); the message still went forth and was received by those the Father wanted to hear that message.
How do I know it was received? I only get tired after preaching a message when it is received; never when it is not received.. Those that know me, will appreciate the significance of what I am about to say. I slept 11.5 hours straight without waking up once after preaching that message! I NEVER sleep that long and didn’t sleep that long when I had cancer. I was sleeping so long, Deb was concerned and checked on me several times to see if I was still breathing. She knows I never sleep anywhere near that long.
So, even though I was spiritually exhausted from last might My joy came this afternoon when I awoke spiritually refreshed. Praise Adonai. Time for us to let the Spirit show Himself strong this Month 5 through our avoiding Satan’s false narrative traps and our discerning Yeshua’s Kingdom narratives and walking towards fulfilling our destiny. Shalom!

From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Family
Service will be VIRTUAL for New Moon 4. All mic’s will be muted to avoid feedback. Because you are taking Communion remotely again next Tuesday (6/23/20) at New Moon 4 please make provision to have matzah and grape juice for your household and invited guests.
Do not attempt to offer Communion at another time or on your own other than this New Moon 4 service. You do not have the anointing to do so. I will be guiding you through the steps, as if we were corporately meeting at one of the facilities. Shalom!

Pentecost Notice
Date: May 25, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Family
If you are physically coming to the Pentecost service at Ashford Oaks on May 29, you need to reserve a spot with me by May 26. Please note, while we will be practicing social distancing, we will try to put families together as much as we possibly can. We ask that you wear your face masks and we will try to have some available at the facility for those that do not have any or forget to bring them. We also ask that everyone wash their hands prior to entering the main ball room and that you remain at home if you feel sick, are running a fever, or just feel under the weather. Again, this is for safety sake and not a lack of faith.
While we know everyone will be happy to see one another and worship together after such a long time, we ask that you refrain from touching and hugging those outside your immediate family and those you have not been in regular contact with, for everyone’s protection and peace of mind. I know it’s going to be tough. But we can do it.
Service will be streamed live for those that cannot or do not wish to attend the service physically for whatever reason. But all mic’s will be muted to avoid feedback. We are looking forward to a wonderful day of worship on Pentecost. Shalom!

Zoom Service Protocols
Date: May 20, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Family
As I mentioned in our most recent meeting, we are called to honor God in all that we say and do and be professional and proficient in our service to Him. In light of that command, the Leadership Team is developing a set of General Guidelines for our Zoom Worship Services to ensure we accomplish that task. Some of you may wonder why this is necessary? As we increase our ministry to our universal brethren outside WOCI, it is imperative that we project and maintain a professional image and atmosphere of worship during all of our meetings; now that we have visitors and guests regularly worshipping with us who personally do NOT know most of us. I am sure most of you can agree this fact has the potential for being a recipe of disaster, as well as a possible source of unnecessary damage or offense.
As much as we might want to think to the contrary, negative first impressions are difficult to overcome. This is why our guests and visitors first impression of WOCI online should be one that detects the respect and honor we give unto our Father. So, even though you are worshipping at home, it is imperative we have the same decorum for our Shabbat service online and it be given the same reverence as our Shabbat service in person. Our Father is due nothing less.
We will post those guidelines by Thursday evening of this week. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, as we give all glory and honor unto our Father in this endeavor. New life, new journey, new respect.
Shalom

Response to Work of Service
Date: May 2, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Family
Deb and I would like to thank those of you that either prepared food, gave money for food, or signed up to give money or cook food for my friend’s family this week. Your service was greatly appreciated and very fruitful. Our joint efforts were well received by the Craze family (both immediate and extended) and our God was openly glorified and this ministry commended. The service WOCI provided to the family was so overwhelming to them, all they repeatedly did was thank us. They were so impressed with the abundance and quality of food given, along with the number of in-person visitations, an out of state relative pulled me aside to tell me if his family lived in Houston, they would be attending our church. He and his wife also invited Deb and I a few times to visit them whenever we were in their area. Since we will be in their area later this year, we plan on taking them up on their offer.
Following the funeral, they tried to give me money for professional services rendered. But the deceased’s husband knew me well enough to know that I would not accept it. So, he gave a donation to the church that exceeded the amount of money the church spent on the meal provision for the family. As I told them, Deb and I were not rendering these services alone; this was a team effort. She and I were only the point people on this service.
Well done Team WOCI! Well done.

Work of Service
Date: April 27, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
A good friend of mine lost his wife this past weekend. One that I have been sharing the word with he and his family for 20+ years. He is not a stranger to this Body. He has employed a few of our members in the past and has attended a few of our Sukkot picnics. I officiated the funeral of his deceased wife’s father last year and he has asked me to speak at his wife’s funeral this upcoming week.
As a work of service, I would like to have a meal train for him, his children, and his out of town family for Tues through Sun of this upcoming week. I think this would be a wonderful manifestation of the Father’s love, as I have already seen the reaction the family had to my making this offer. We would be looking at feeding 12-14 people total per day. Please understand, I’m not asking any single family to foot the entire bill for that much food. I am asking, however, that our families work together to provide the daily amount, as I think this would be a more effective witness.
If you wish to help us with this ministry endeavor, please contact Deb tomorrow for details. While I will be personally delivering the food in WOC International’s name, I will let everyone know this is a joint endeavor. Let us know as soon as you can. Thank you and shalom.
Mask Mandate Information
(Harris County) Click for More Information
Date: April 23, 2020
From: Deborah Mayfield
Families of teens and pre-teens,
With just a few days to prepare for Harris County's 30-day mask mandate, community leaders throughout the area want to make sure residents are equipped and compliant.
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, who backed up County Judge Lina Hidalgo's order, did some of the work Thursday morning to give away masks and other key supplies during the COVID-19 crisis.
Turner participated at a giveaway point at God's Grace Church in northwest Houston. He has vowed that 70,000 masks will be distributed during a number of drives in the coming days.
Turner isn't the only figurehead taking part in mask giveaways. Harris County Precinct 1 Constable's Office, along with other faith leaders, are distributing face coverings between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday at two locations. One distribution site will be at the Canaan Baptist Church at 5117 Lockwood Drive. The second location will be at the True Light Missionary Baptist Church at 7102 N. Main.
According to Precinct 1, they only have enough for the first 100 cars.
The additional distribution days are:
- Saturday, April 25: Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church - 902 W. 8th Street
- Sunday, April 26: Cliffdale Baptist Church - 854 Enterprise Street
- Tuesday, April 28: New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church - 9126 Jensen Drive
- Thursday, April 30: Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church - 7104 Homestead Road
- Saturday, May 2: Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church - 908 E. 32 1/2 Street
PRE TEEN & TEEN CLASSES to Restart
Date: April 22, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Families of teens and pre-teens,
We plan on resuming teaching of students in these 2 groups via zoom on May 8. Please ensure they have the necessary tools to participate online in their respective Shabbat classes for the near future. We will continue to meet this way with them until we are able to return to physically to Anais, which will not be before June 12. Teen and pre-teen students will not have class if New Moon or a Festival falls on Shabbat.
Masks

For those of you that do not have a mask, a WOCI member has graciously volunteered to make some washable cloth masks for members that need them. Please send me an email if you wish to have one.
Online Giving Options
Date: April 19, 2020
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
For those of you that do not use checks or money orders for your giving, we will have an online giving option available on the website sometime within the next week. While I prefer you mail your offering, I do realize the danger in mailing cash, as well as the problem some of you have with getting out of your home to present your offering. In any event, please do not mail us cash! You will be able to use your credit or debit cards online once we are finished. Again, I do not think you should use a credit card for your giving. It’s other people’s money. The only reason we have both options available is the system is unable to receive debit cards and reject credit cards.
As I have previously said, please sanctify your offering in all cases before you mail it, give it to a church official or use the online option. It will get corporately presented at the next service, if it has not already been corporately presented. For those that mail your offering, please make sure you date the envelope with the date of the service you are making this offering.
We will let everyone know when we are set up to receive online. Once we get back to corporately gathering in a single location to worship, we will return to presenting our offering the regular way.

Seder Meal Prep Notes

From: Deborah Mayfield
You can find a majority of Seder meal items at Kroger, Central Market, and then HEB. Whole Foods carry the same but is higher in cost. Sprouts usually have the veggies.
Purchase the Kedem Grape Juice made with fresh Concord Grapes. (Amazon has this as well.)
Bitter Herbs: Parsley, Horseradish, Romain Lettuce or (Collard Greens) – you should not purchase your herbs to early. I try to get mine no more than a day or two in advance.
Spring Lamb: I prefer Spring Lamb.

Since we will not be gathering corporately for Pesach on April 8, we will not be partaking of Communion and the Seder meal as we normally would. Communion during the month of Aviv is included with the Pesach service and will take place at sunset (7:44 pm). Thus, each family or host group is responsible for providing their own Seder materials, preparing them properly, and administering the elements in the proper manner to their family and/or guests and relatives at 7:44 pm.
We will corporately partake of the Seder meal at this time while we are live streaming the Pesach Service. So, everyone needs to be online, in the room and ready to go by 6:30 pm. Check with Risha if you have any questions. The Service itself will begin at 7 pm and we will partake of the Seder at 7:44 pm. Instructions concerning the rest of the Service Order will be forthcoming this week. As mentioned in the final email blast the other day, those wishing to be a part of the corporate reading during the service, need to contact me this week.
Also note, even though this is an individual Seder, it is still an integral part of a corporate ritual. Plan on partaking of the Seder at sunset (7:44 pm) that day with the rest of the Congregation. No WOCI member should partake of the Seder alone and no WOCI family should partake of the Seder at a different time from the rest of the Congregation for any reason. We are called to partake of this meal together as the Body of Yeshua. Remember, the Lamb must be ROASTED. It cannot be baked or fried. No exceptions! Contact Deb if you need any help or clarifications on the meal preparation. Shalom!
New Moon 1 Special Instructions
Date:
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Family
As we begin our new journey, we begin this year on New Moon 1 meeting in separate locations and streaming the instruction. Since we will NOT be having Communion next week (as we will be having Communion at Pesach two weeks later), no non-minister needs to worry about performing this important memorial. We do, however, need enough families to make their homes available for worship to cover our single members and/or certain relatives in their area if necessary. I will provide each group with the general outline of worship ahead to time, of which the leader or teacher will lead those that have come to their home in worship. At a predetermined set time, We will stream the New Moon instruction from my location to each leader and/or teacher’s residence for all to listen.
Once instruction is completed, the streaming will end. Leaders/teachers will then take the offering, pray over the offering, and then separate the offering to give to Ann later. No one will open, check or tabulate the offering. They will just report who gave an offering to Ann via email (ann@woc-intl.org) at the conclusion of service. They will put the offering in a secure location for safe keeping until arrangements are made with her to get the offering. In case anyone is wondering, she will NOT be traveling around to each location to pick up the offerings. Directors and Executive officers will help her in this endeavor. Once the offering has been consecrated, they will close the service in song and prayer (these will be part of the general outline). Don’t worry about the shofar blowing lol. We have an mp3 file for everyone to use.
I and the Media Team will be working with those that agree to do this next week before New Moon 1, to make sure they have the proper equipment and everything is in place to roll once New Moon begins. If, however, anyone cannot or is unwilling to do this. Let us know. While we wish to stay under the 10 person guideline if possible, this does not mean we will bind ourselves to this amount in our personal homes. Under no circumstances, however, will we have more than 20 people at any one location.
Please respond to me individually and let me know asap if you wish to host one of these meetings.
Future WOCI Communication
Date:
From: Jeffrey Mayfield
Family
After New Moon 1, we will no longer send out general information to our Community via emails. We will, however, continue to use email for Team and small group communications that do not apply to the entire Community. As I mentioned a few years ago, we are transitioning all general communications over to our website, which you can connect to via the internet or our church app. This is much more efficient system that relieves us of keeping up with all of the email changes our members tend to make or not communicating with a member not having an email address. General information regarding our Community will be listed on a General Info page on the website under the Members Only tab. For those of you that use the Church App, you will continue to be notified via text when an important notice is placed on that page. If you have any questions about this, the Members Only password, getting and using the Church app, or anything else related to these type of communications. Please contact Risha with our Media Team. Shalom.
