Zoom Meeting Etiquette

Family, let's worship together considering the following:

General Etiquette

1- Sign in with your real first name and enable the audio AND video options. Those not doing so or using a fake name will not be permitted to join the worship meeting.

2- Profanity will not be permitted. Unwanted, distracting, inappropriate or crude gestures will be blocked and all disruptive participants will be removed from the meeting for that day.

3- Refrain from jesting or discussing political issues during worship service. This can cause confusion and cast the ministry in a bad light, as new participants may not be familiar with the humor of the individuals doing this.

4- Refrain from sending private messages on the chat line. They will be disabled. The chat is for commenting or posting questions ABOUT the lesson.

5- Physically raise your hand or use the raise hand feature at the bottom center of your screen if you wish to speak.

Meeting Etiquette

1- Assume a posture and dress appropriate for worship (no lying down in bed or wearing pajamas). You never know who is watching.

2- Make sure your camera isn't facing towards something others should not see (e.g. laundry). People aren't just seeing you; they're also seeing whatever the camera is pointed at behind you.

3- Mute your audio on the lower left of the screen when speaking with someone where you are or engaging in activities that might be distracting to others.

4- Refrain from eating or doing private things during the service. This is a worship service; not a meeting.

5- When finished speaking, end by saying something like "That's all." "I'm done."

Technical Etiquette

1- Improve video quality by having the light in front of you and not behind. Look into the camera when speaking.

2- Close unneeded applications, turn off notifications, and minimize running apps to keep the video functioning optimally. Mute your smartphone.

3- Eliminate feedback by ensuring devices logged into the meeting are not close to each other.

4- Remember to sign out or "leave the meeting" when the session is finished.
