Those understanding the Kingdom know “family” is defined in terms of spiritual relationship to the Father and not things that pertain to life on this earth. Thus, if you and I are in covenant relationship with His Son and have been truly born from above by His Spirit, we are family whether we choose to claim each other or not.
Unfortunately, the Adversary has successfully blinded the minds of so many believers today concerning this foundational Kingdom reality. This is why they are quick to judge another individual’s spiritual relationship with God based on his politics, skin color or economics.
Children of God, it’s not the commonality of biology, beliefs, or behavior that makes us family in the Kingdom. It’s the acceptance of the sacrificial work of Jesus to reconcile us unto Father as evidenced by the indwelling Spirit that does. Peace!
